Selection criteria for language test requirements (international applicants)
Applicants whose primary language is not French must pass a French language test before receiving a final acceptance letter.
OR
Applicants whose primary language of education is not French must pass a French language test before receiving a final acceptance letter.
OR
Applicants whose citizenship is other than France and its territories must pass a French language test before receiving a final acceptance letter.
OR
Applicants whose country of birth is other than France and its territories must pass a French language test before receiving a final acceptance letter.
N.B. It is the applicant's responsibility to register for the French language test.

The French language test evaluates the level of a non-speaking francophone. To be accepted at a SRASL College, the applicant must comply with this condition. A student already living in Quebec can take the TFI test at the Centre linguistique du cégep de Jonquière or at l'Université du Québec à Chicoutimi or at SRACQ.
Students residing abroad at the time of application must take the following steps:
1. Consult the list of countries where it is possible to take one of the tests (see the table above) and send the request by email to the address listed on the site.
2. Take the French language test in the designated city of your country.
3. Send your test results to SRASL to receive your final acceptance letter.
